Take your learners to the post office for this SPED CBI! Learners will assemble, label and ship a package which includes a craft made by them. Learners will follow step-by-step visual instructions, identify and execute the steps to shipping a package, assemble a package, label a package by writing the delivery and return address and identify shipping cost and tracking numbers.

In the BEFORE activity (prior to Community Based Instruction), learners will identify what items they need to ship a package, decide who they will be shipping their package to, review & write return and delivery addresses, draft a shopping list and create a craft. During CBI, learners will be going to the post office. They are directed to follow a checklist which will have them assemble, label and ship their package. Returning from CBI, learners will reflect by completing review questions and participating in small group and whole class discussions.
