Terms of Use

Version #1: In the BEFORE activity (prior to your CBI), learners will identify visual items and predict by sorting whether you can or cannot check out specific items at the library. In the DURING activity, learners will explore the various sections of the library by completing a picture match. Learners will paste pictures of items they can check out. For the AFTER activity, learners will reflect on their personal use of the library, items to check out and decipher check out requirements.

Version #2: In the BEFORE activity, learners will identify items and predict by sorting whether you can or cannot check out specific items at the library (words & visuals). In the DURING activity, learners will explore the various sections of the library, match an image and write down the name of a resource found in each section. For the AFTER activity, learners will participate in a group and class discussion where they will reflect on the items they would personally check out at the library and library return guidelines.

Version #3: In the BEFORE activity, learners will write down resources they know they can find in the library and will write down what they want to learn from their library exploration. DURING the CBI, learners will be mapping out the sections of the library and writing down resources for each. Learners will also work on communication skills - asking the librarian questions regarding community events and "hidden" library resources. For the AFTER activity, learners will complete their KWL chart by writing what they have learned from their library exploration and review the check out process. Learners will write down a personal goal for library use.
